Eagle Engineering - Engineering staff

"Eagle has the capability to offer design staff or put design teams together for bespoke work, following highly successful projects both in the UK and overseas. Eagle is also able to undertake fixed price design packages all at competitive rates"

Many military candidates who have traditionally tended towards licencing are now undertaking successful careers in design as a viable alternative. Military candidates offer the following:

  • Experience working on aircraft and avionics systems
  • Practical aircraft application and awareness
  • • Strong personal and Man Management skills
  • “Hands on” appreciation

The training courses undertaken at Eagle gives them the following:

  • A good understanding of the design process
  • Design substantiation
  • CAD experience
  • Certifications and safety considerations

The Eagle training courses are highly intensive, delivered by qualified industry professionals, including Ian Roberts, former Chief Designer at Marshall Aerospace and one of the Directors of Eagle. The training courses are approved and supported by the Career Transition Partnership, the organisation responsible for service leavers. All candidates are thoroughly vetted prior to attending the course to ensure they have the appropriate background to make good designers.

Military candidates are flexible and they quickly adapt to the design environment. Within 6 months of completing an avionics course, one candidate was running a team developing a CNS/ATM upgrade. Another worked as the sole design liaison on night shift before joining the CNS/ATM team. Others have joined installation design team converting schemes to W/Ds and cable assemblies.

Within the same period, one candidate from the structures course was running a repair team and another was employed as a permanent member of staff following a successful trial as a contractor. Other candidates are working on Catia V5 applications or acting as liaison engineers.

So why use Eagle staff?

  • Eagle’s mission is to create a network of employers to place candidates into contract and permanent employment, providing a cost effective solution for the employer
  • Eagle offers a sliding scale for contractors fresh from the course over the first 6 months whilst experience builds and to give employers a chance to review the performance of the individuals and lower financiall risk
  • Eagle has been able to provide huge client savings through its cost effective recruitment model
  • Eagle will tailor the design courses to ensure the candidates meet your needs
  • Our contractors are unlikely to move because they are salaried employees of Eagle
  • If you are employing Eagle contractors we are willing to provide permanent staff from the course with no finders fees
  • After one year, contractor can be taken on permanently with no additional fee
  • Access to a fresh pool of ex-military avionics and structures designers
