Eagle Engineering Services Ltd was set up by Graham and Ian in 2007 following a discussion about the shortage of design engineers in the marketplace and the potential resource pool that existed by developing the skills of military technicians leaving the services. The result was the creation of two design courses for avionics and airframes technicians aligned with a capability to employ and deploy staff with companies across the world. Eagle goes from strength to strength and the gradual build up of quality candidates leaving the course can only benefit the services and industry as a whole.

Ian Roberts BEM C.Eng FRAeS

Ian joined the Army as an Avionics apprentice in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in 1974. His 16 years service saw him supporting The Army Air Corps’ Regiments in Germany and The Royal Marine’s Squadron in Plymouth with occasional tours to both Northern Ireland and the Falklands. During this time he over saw the introduction of the Islander photographic reconnaissance aircraft into service, for which he was awarded the BEM. He left service in 1990 for a short spell at Westland Helicopters as an Avionics Design Engineer. After 14 months he joined Marshall Aerospace, where he started as an Avionics Group Leader through the post of Head of Avionics to the position as Chief Designer, the first Avionics Engineer to do so. Ian is a Chartered engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society

Graham Brown MA MIRP Cert. RP

Graham served in the RHF as a bandsman, serving in the first Gulf war as a medic before leaving in 1993. Since then, most of his career has been dedicate to assisting ex military candidates with employment. He was the Sales Manager of “The Officer” and RAF in flight magazines before setting up and running the service leaver magazine, Quest. Leaving that appointment after 3 years in 2001 he set up Forces Recruitment Services (FRS) Ltd, a specialist recruitment consultancy for ex military personnel and has placed hundreds of candidates into work in that time.
